The Hotel am Rathaus is situated directly in the Old Town beside the Town Hall and the historic Market Place. On wednesdays and saturdays you will find the farmers market here. All the historical sights like the Old Bridge, University, University Library, Student’s Prison, as well as the traditional exceptional student pubs are easily reached by foot includig the funicular which offers you on your way to the castle a marvellous view of the Old Town. Directly in front of our hotel you can relax in one of the numerous cafés. Here begins the pedesrtrian zone which is the longest in Europe (1.6 km). It invites you for an eventful shopping.
